About the Digital & Financial Inclusion Programme

The Digital & Financial Inclusion Programme is Creative Hub Africa’s flagship initiative for closing both the digital gap and the financial gap in Sierra Leone’s creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Problem

Many creatives, entrepreneurs and business owners are talented and hardworking, but they often:

  • lack the digital skills to show up online and sell; and
  • lack the financial knowledge or access to manage money, save, or grow their business.

We work with women, youths, persons with disabilities, and informal businesses—especially those in underserved communities—so they are not left behind as business, culture, and payments move online.

Our goal: help creative entrepreneurs and MSMEs become visible, bankable, and investment-ready.

What We Do

  1. Build digital skills for business.
  2. Strengthen financial literacy for creatives.
  3. Connect creatives to banks and fintechs.
  4. Promote digital payments and safer transactions.
  5. Support access for underserved groups.
  6. Coach through office hours and follow-up.

Impact & Vision

  • Help creatives and MSMEs show up online, get discovered, and get paid.
  • Increase the use of digital payments and basic financial records.
  • Support more youth- and women-led businesses to become formal, bankable and investment-ready.
  • Reduce digital and financial exclusion that keeps creative talent at survival level.
  • Build a pipeline of creative MSMEs ready for larger programmes, grants, loans, and investment.

This programme is part of our wider mission to make Africa the home for creative changemakers—where a young designer, filmmaker, musician, or craftsperson is not only creative, but also digitally visible and financially empowered.
